  • No prior experience or certification required.

Classroom Session


During the Emergency First Responder Course, you will first participate in the classroom portion of the Emergency First Responder course at dive shops. Participants learn how to effectively assess emergency situations and respond appropriately. Key skills covered include recognizing signs of distress in divers, performing CPR, and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The course also emphasizes the importance of communication and teamwork during emergencies, along with understanding legal considerations and consent. This foundational knowledge is crucial for ensuring the safety of divers and preparing responders to act decisively in high-pressure scenarios.

Practical Skill Session


During the Emergency First Responder (EFR) Course's practical skill session, you will have the opportunity to transform the knowledge gained from the theoretical portion of the course into tangible skills.
